Welcome to Kriegshund German Shepherds and thank you for visiting our web site.
We are one of few 100% raw fed and naturally reared german shepherd breeders in
the United States. We only plan on having one or two litters a year, our next litter not
due until 2008. Our lines are mostly DDR (East German) working lines and our carefully
planned litters are well suited for schutzhund, police work, protection, search and
rescue, herding or agility. We breed for sound temperment, structure and working
abilities in addition to being magnificent family members.
Our mission is to breed generations of raw fed, naturally reared german shepherds for
their original intended purpose ~ to work, but also be the beloved family pet. Our
german shepherds live in our home with us, litters are whelped next to our bed, and
are well socialized from 4 weeks of age.
As the founder of the breed, Max von Stephanitz said, "the breeding of Shepherd
dogs must be the breeding of working dogs, this must always be the aim or we will
cease to produce working dogs."
We aim to produce sound working dogs that are pleasant to be around, in the home
and out, and are always ready to work.
